L. esculentum Mill. nom. cons. vs. L. lycopersicum (L.) H. Kartst; Almeida erred in publishing L. lycopersicum var. cerasiforme. His reference to L. cerasiforme Dunal as the basionym is treated as a bibliographic error for L. esculentum var. cerasiforme.
