Remarks

Eponymy: John Blackburne, Esq., a grower of exotic plants at Orford, Lancashire. Some correct the epithet blackburnia to blackburniana or blackburnii or blackburnei. Glazebrook probably adopted “Blackburnia” from a generic name honoring the Blackburnes proposed by the Forsters (Blackburnia J. R. Forst. & G. Forst., Char. Gen. Pl.: 11. 1776), and no epithet correction is necessary.
