[Gandhi 16 Sep 1999] Based on sect. Micrococcus Parry 1884, P. V. Wells published his subgen. Micrococcus as a stat. nov., but he did not cite the exact page no. in the basionym reference; however, Wells provided a Latin diagnosis and type citation.
