Remarks
Barkworth & D. R. Dewey (Great Basin Naturalist 43: 570. 1983) published the same comb. nov. invalidly; they cited correct parenthetical authorship ((Podp.)), but wrong basionym (Triticum elongatum (Host), Gram. Austr. 2: 18. 1802); the 1983 publication is not a validly published name of a sp. nov. (lack of type citation), or a comb. nov. (lack of basionym reference), or a nom. nov. for T. elongatum Host (type of T. elongatum implicitly excluded).
