Nomenclatural Notes
Status: nom. illeg. nom. superfl. for Trichophyllum Nuttall (1818); also a later homonym (non Bahia Lagasca 1816).
Remarks
Nuttall (pp. 373-374) used Bahia sensu DC. (non Lagasca 1816) and cited Trichophyllum Nuttall (1818) as a synonym; on p. 377, Nuttall included B. ambrosioides Lagasca (the type species of Bahia Lagasca) within his new genus Stylesia.
