Nomenclatural Notes

Status: nom. rej. Reference to the basionym indirect (via Scopoli, Fl. Carniol., ed. 2. 1: 52. 1771), who used Digitaria Heist. Adans. Hall. Hist. II. p. 244. The earliest name (Digitaria Heist. ex Fabr. 1759) serves as the basionym; A. Gray, however, also included the type of the conserved name (Digitaria Haller 1768); Vienna Code Art. 14.7 applies.
