Remarks
Dalzell (in Hooker's J. Bot. Kew Gard. Misc. 3: 282. 1851) used Micropera Lindley and described 2 new species: M. maculata and M. viridiflora. He compared M. viridiflora with M. pallida Lindl. Lindley (1858) treated his genus Micropera Lindl. (1832) as a synonym of Camarotis Lindl. (1833). However, Lindley (1858) reused Micropera for M. maculata Dalz., referred to Dalzell’s species description, and also added his own remarks. Thus, Lindley (1858) created Micropera as a later homonym.
