Remarks

Brandis did not refer to the basionym; F. pubigera has been presumed to be a new combination based on P. pubigera (cf., Hooker f., Fl. Brit. Ind. 5: 528. 1888; C. C. Berg & E. J. H. Corner, Fl. Males., Ser. 1, Spermat. 17(2): 517. 2005). Berg & Corner erred in attributing F. pubigera to: (Wall. ex Miq.) Miq., Ann. Mus. Bot. Lugduno-Batavi 3: 294. 1867. Miquel (1867) cited F. pubigera as a synonym of F. erecta Thunb.
