Remarks
A. DC. published M. leschenaultii as an alternative name to M. indica Lesch. ex A. DC. (5: 213-214). Wight & Arnott (Prodr. Fl. Ind. Orient. 1: 10. 1834) used M. indica and referred to t. 3 as M. indica; their choice of M. indica as the accepted name and implicit rejection of M. leschenaultii establishes the priority of M. indica over. M. leschenaultii (cf. Vienna Code Art. 11.5 Note 2).
