Bentham refers to `C. axillaris Roem. & Schult.; Kunth. Enum. iv. 105' with Tradescantia axillaris Roxb. in synonymy. Index Kewensis, and others, refer to D.Don, Prodr. Fl. Nepal. (1825) 46, however the combination is not validly made therein. Combination also made by Schultes & J.H.Schultes in Roemer & Schultes, Syst. Veg. ed. 16, 7(2) (1830) 1154.
