Remarks
For the generic diagnosis, Radlkofer (p. 285) referred to Eranthemum sensu T. Anderson (J. Linn. Soc., Bot. 9: 446-447. 1867, non L. 1753). Perhaps unaware of Radlkofer's reference to Anderson, Leonard (Contr. U.S. Natl. Herb. 31(3): 728-729. 1958) considered Pseuderanthemum Radlk. (1883) as invalid, recognized Pseuderanthemum Radlk. ex Lindau (1895) as valid, and cited P. bicolor (Schrank) Radlk. as the type
