Remarks
Amianthium nuttallii A. Gray (1837) is a superfluous illegitimate name for Helonias paniculata Nutt. (1834). Watson (1871) based Zigadenus nuttalli on A. nuttallii, but excluded H. paniculata from his intended new combination. Therefore, Z. nuttallii was inadvertently published as the name of a new species
