Fleming, the publishing author, ascribed the name to Roxburgh. In his introduction, Fleming (p. 151) stated the following: ... new species ... described by Dr. Roxburgh; who, with his usual liberality, permitted me to transcribe their specific characters and trivial names from his manuscript.
