Remarks
Britton & A. Brown (Ill. Fl. N. U.S. ed. 2, 3: 313. 1913), and M.L. Green (Nom. Prop. Brit. Bot.: 177. 1929) designated T. pratensis as the generitype; however, C. Díaz & Blanca (l.c.) rejected T. pratensis on the grounds that it has five involucral bracts, conflicting with the eight bracts described by Linnaeus (1754).
