The protologue has Type: ARGENTINA, Corrientes. Dpto.: Santo Tomé. Cercanías de Garruchos, 10-X-2006, G. Roitman s.n. (BAA 25701). Paraguay, Dpto.: Caaguazú, Coronel Oviedo. Ruta 2. Km 140. Krapovickas y C. L. Cristobal 13429 (CTES). Since the word type is in the singular and is associated with the Corrientes collection followed by a full stop, this specimen can be interpreted as the holotype.
