Keng published the name, but failed to supply a full and direct reference to the basionym in Claves Gram. Prim. Sinic. (1957) 197; and in Fl. Ill. Pl. Primarum Sinicarum. Gramineae (1959) 471- the latter seen at the National Agricultural Library of the U.S. Dept. Agriculture, Beltsville, Maryland.
