isonym of S. ovata Willd. (1809). Lagasca referred to Stevia ovata.Elench. H. R. M. ann. 1805 and to Hornemann (Hort. Bot. Hafn. 2: 793. 1815), who in turn referred to S. ovata Willd. (1809). Lagasca (Elenchus Plantarum Horti Regii Botanici Matritensis Anno 1815. preface [iii]. 1816] mentioned that his 1805 publication remained unpublished.
