Nomenclatural Notes
Status: nom. inval. Hook.f. did not accept V. microcarpum; he referred the basionym Oxycoccus microcarpus Turcz. ex Rupr. to O. palustris Pers. 1805 (protologue: Vaccinium (Oxycoccus) microcarpum, Rupr., is included under O. palustris by Nyman, and is clearly nothing but a small-fruited state of that plant.
