Remarks
Jannick & Veldkamp (in Blumea 47(3): 559. 2002) treated C. gigantea Roxb. (1832) as different from C. gigantea J.Koenig (1788). Roxburgh was unaware of the 1788 publication and inadvertently described Coix gigantea Koen. Mss. as a new species. Since Roxburgh did not exclude the type of the Koenig name, the 1832 name is treated here as an isonym.
