Chapma's collection at GH may be an isotype or the holotype/lectotype; S. B. Jones and W. Z. Faust (N. Amer. Fl. ser. II, 10: 187. 1978) erred in stating that the type of V. blodgettii (J. L. Blodgett s.n. at NY) is also the type of V. angustifolia var. pumila Chapm.
