To date Alexander Dalyrmple is not known to have authored any plant, algal or fungal names. He was the editor of Oriental Repertory, 1791-1808, and his name is part of the standard form of this publication 'Orient. Repert. [Dalrymple]'. His author name was originally added to IPNI so as to be able to link to that publication as an 'in' author.
